NEET MCC (All India Quota) Counselling Rules Explained

MCC kya hai?

MCC — Medical Counselling Committee — ek central body hai jo NEET-UG qualify kar chuke students ke liye All India Quota (AIQ) seats ki counselling conduct karta hai. Ye Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) ke under aata hai. AIQ (All India Quota) mein kaunsi seats aati hain?

AIQ ka matlab hai ki ye seats domicile/home-state restriction ke bina — poore India ke students in par apply kar sakte hain, sirf NEET merit ke base par. Isme shamil hai:

• 15% seats har state government medical/dental college mein (state govt colleges apni 85% seats state quota ke liye rakhti hain, 15% AIQ ko de deti hain)

• Deemed universities ki saari MBBS/BDS seats (private, UGC-recognized autonomous universities — Manipal, SRM, Amrita jaisi)

Category-wise reservation

AIQ seats mein bhi reservation apply hoti hai — lekin ye all-India level par hoti hai, state-specific nahi:

Reserved category ke students general/open seats ke liye bhi compete kar sakte hain agar unki rank qualify karti hai — isse "GN fallback" kehte hain. Counselling rounds

MCC counselling normally 4 phases mein hoti hai:

3. Round 3 / Mop-Up Round — sirf deemed/central universities ke liye (state govt colleges ki AIQ seats state counselling mein wapas chali jaati hain agar Round 2 tak allot nahi hui)

Seat milne ke baad kya karna hai

Jab seat allot ho jaye, aapko specified deadline ke andar allotted college mein report karke admission formalities complete karni hoti hai (fees deposit, documents verify) — tabhi seat confirm hoti hai. Agar aap report nahi karte, seat automatically cancel ho jaati hai.
