Mentora ("we", "our", "the app") is a study companion app for JEE/NEET aspirants, providing JoSAA college prediction, doubt solving, daily planning, and mentorship features. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

• Mobile number — for login/authentication (via OTP).
• Profile details — name, class, target exam, and an optional profile photo you provide.
• Academic inputs — exam ranks, category, gender, home state, and preferences you enter for college prediction.
• Study data — your doubts, daily tasks, backlogs, and saved choice lists.

Premium features are activated on request by our team. Payments are processed outside the app (e.g., via WhatsApp); we do not collect or store any card, bank, or payment-instrument details inside the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and keep you logged in.
• To generate college/branch predictions and counselling guidance from your inputs.
• To provide AI- and teacher-based doubt solutions, planning, and mentorship.
• To activate premium features on your request.

3. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — for secure phone-number login.
• Supabase — secure database hosting for your data.
• Telegram — support messages and admin verification are routed to our private admin channel.
• WhatsApp — used (outside the app) for premium activation requests.
• Anthropic (Claude) — to generate AI doubt answers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers above strictly to operate the app's features.

5. Data Security

Your data is stored on secured servers with access controls. Authentication tokens protect your account. We take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for students preparing for competitive exams. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without guardian consent.
